Boom Goes the Dynamite Remains Perfect With 27-4 Win Over Sliding Into Third 9/20/2010
Behind a team-record 11 RBI from Eric Grieser, Boom Goes the Dynamite recorded a 27-4 victory over Sliding Into Third on Monday night at Park Road Park.
Boom (3-0) put the game out of reach immediately, scoring nine runs in the top of the first inning. Grieser and Andy Kerrigan led off the game with back-to-back inside-the-park home runs. The duo later struck for back-to-back two-run doubles, while Megan Grieser added a two-run single of her own in the inning.
After Sliding Into Third (1-2) plated three runs in the bottom of the first, Boom continued its onslaught with 10 runs in the top of the second inning. Eric Grieser again had the big hit in the frame, as he notched an inside-the-park grand slam to make the score 14-3, as 13 batters came to the plate in the half inning.
Sliding Into Third scored its final run of the contest in the bottom of the second inning, cutting the score to 19-4. Boom then struck for three more runs in the top of the third inning, and five runs in the top of the fourth, including Eric Grieser's thriee-run triple.
Boom Goes the Dynamite will return to action next Monday, when it faces Pitch Please at 9:30 p.m., at Park Road Park.
