So much for reaching .500 for the fall ball season. It has been a difficult fall, not getting the hits, getting pounded in the field, injurys, scrounging to get players and anything else that can be used as an excuse. Well 2 games left and then only 34 weeks of cold and snow before the first spring tournament.

Fall is not shaping up to be the best we've played. There is soame really good teams and injuries and what not have taken there toll. We have been competative in most of our games just made one to many mistakes at times. Good learning experience.

Battleing injuries and missing players for weddings and work we have struggled to be consistent in the field and at the plate. Just need to keep having fun and get better nothing to it but to do it.

We managed to play pretty good and stay in against a really good team. If we have ten they probably don't score 7 in that one inning that being the difference but alot of ifs mean nothing. We'll get them next time when we have a full squad and hopefully no more Viking Monday night games until the season is over.

Played and hit well in game one and won 18-13. Game two kind of got frustrated with calls and bad base running decisions and never recovered even with a few nice hitting performances. we'll come back like we always do.

0-2 not the best way to start the season. Looked rusty from the lay-off but we didn't play to bad just need to start hitting earlier in the game and not wait until the last at bats. We'll even it out next week

15 runs in two games and come away with two wins means good defense and clutch hits. 36 to be exact and not one extra base hit. Now 11-5 and have a piece of first place. How about we rattle off with 8 more wins and finish this thing 19-5.

He have yet to really play good in a league game at least in the last three weeks but we are 5 -1 in our last six. Have not hit really well in a while. We can't seem to put a run together we will get wo hits then three outs and so on. Stillin this thing for sure ten games left and I feel a winning streak coming on.

Tough week, 15 runs in two games, we are used to scoring that in one game. We did come out with one win though so we are still in the hunt at .500 but need to get those bats going before it is to late. Lets keep it loose and have some fun, no K's last night even though Tarman got lucky on that one. We have Hooligans and ICE next week.

Good first game. We played really good defense hit the ball pretty good top to bottom which helped us beat the first place team by four runs. Game two different story bats came out not so good we would get two hits followed by three outs for the first 5 innings while they were hitting holes and gaps and building a big lead. Then the ump says last at bats time limit then we go on a hitting spree scoring 10 runs but alas end up 4 short. So total scored 26 runs gave up 26 to move our record to 3-3.

Cold again but bats are warming up. 2-0 this week a 17-0 win and a 13-11 win over a good ICE team. Played loose and hits and runs happened. Fileded alot better has well. Lets keep it going have some fun and win some more games.

having to win two of the last four to finish above .500 we managed to do so by beating the first place Carbones team 17-13. I guess that makes up for the one run loss to them earlier this season. Unfortunatly we still could not get by Champps. they beat us by 8 for our largest margin of loss this season. Lets go out with a bang this last week. We need 23 runs between the two games to top the 200 run mark for the fall season. Right now we are sitting on the most runs in the league at 177 with Carbones 16 behind at 161. If we can't win the league we can hang our hats on that at least.

We put together two wins managing to overcome some weaker than normal fielding. We started slow with the bats but then came on strong in both games to pull out wins coming back from deficits. In came two down 3 in the bottom of the seventh we put together some hits plus a bases clearing triple from the No Daker to tie the game with no outs, later getting that winning run across sealing the win against the current second place team. Big stat from that game 14 runs were scored with two outs! BIG! These two wins put us back over .500 now with only four games left in the softball year.

We pounded the ball in the first game and played some good D.
Unfortunatly couldn't keep the bats hot for game two. Still we were in the game until the end just a little short and a couple miscues in the field. Fab Five Freddie had two excellent plays in the field. It was also nice to get Opie back didn't miss a beat after the broken arm only going 7 for 7 and making a nice diving catch.
Rich finally made his debut as well and now we finally have that left handed bat we have been looking for not to mention some pitching consistency.

We struggled a little couldn't get it all together in either game. Game one we played great defense but couldn't hit, second game the bats were coming around but we kind of threw the ball around a little and spotted them to many runs. We out scored them after the third inning on. Well there is always next week. Well two weeks anyway. No games Labor Day, see you Sept. 10th.

We couldn't string the hits together tonight in the second game add that with a couple miscues in the field and you get an 11-5 loss at the hands of a team we should beat and will next time. But with that said nothing wrong with 2-1-1 in this competative league a .500 record could win this since six teams all seem to be very close.

Pretty good night all said. We hung in the first game against a good team gave up the lead and then at least put together a couple hits to get the tieing run across against probably one of the better teams in the league. Toatl domination in the second game. Only one runner made it to third and I don't think they made it twice trhough their line up. Good hitting and better defense.

Monday August 13th 8 pm Lac Lavon Field A. Should be a fun fall in a competative league. There are some teams we know and some new faces. We play our game we should be just fine. The loss of Opie will hurt but maybe he'll man up and play a little dinged up.

Way to finish the sesaon strong. We came ready to play and smacked the snot out of the ball. We have a week or so off and start the Fall season on the 13th of August. Info will be sent out as soon as I have it and that should be the 8th. So stay safe (no foot races) And get ready to have a great fall season.

We changed some things up a little last night, swapping positions and pulling the line up out of the hat. Almost worked in both games. Not our best hitting performance by a long shot but far from our worst as well. I think we keep it up for next week and have some fun with this.

Thanks to some "great" pitching, we walk the bases loaded and put the winning run at second with no outs. Sorry guys, we missed our opourtunity to finally beat those guys. So with that loss we have eliminated any chance at first place and will now need help to get into the second place spot. We can not do any worse than third no matter what happens though. So 4 games left and I think will will start to change some things up a bit and have a little fun with the rest of the seaon if you guys don't mind.

Won two more last night to run the streak at 4 in a row and we have not lost in 6 games (5-0-1). Our Destiny is in our hands now six more wins and we just might win this thing. Proposition for the team we win this thing BBQ at my place.

Regardless of the results we had a good weekend. 5th place ain't that bad. We were in every game but the first but even ended strong in that one. I'm looking forward to going back next year. Thanks for all that played and watched, now take the week off and we'll see you Monday night.

We got two last night and that put us right back in the hunt for first place. We still have to run the table and get a little help along the way which we did last night. Since Destiny helped us out by beating Joseph's. We just need to take care of our business and keep hitting the ball and playing good defense. No league game this week. And we'll see those heading to Duluth Friday.

Game one we were patient we had 9 walks tie that in with 30 hits and we came up with 29 runs but 18 of those were in the first inning, not to mention we gave them two outs on the base paths. Need to clean that up a little, have to stop running our selves out of innings.

Game two- no walks and 28 hits for a result of a 12- 12 tie. We had the chance to win it twice but just could not get that winning run home from third in back to back innings. But after giving up three runs in the top of the eighth we came back got the three and were 70 ft away with the winning run. Tie is better than a loss.

This past weekend was a good time. We kind of had a pretty bad draw. We played last years 3rd place team and Champions (3rd year in a row plus they were back in the chip this year) in our only two games. It was a good learning experience and I had a good time I hope everyone else that went down did as well. Our defense for the most part was excellent if only we could have hit we would have had a stronger showing. For those that know the guys we picked up thank them again for us, especially those that were last minute.

Great games guys, win two and gain spots in the standings. 7-3 still third place but both team in front of us lost one game and have also played two more games than us so far this season. So it is ours for the taking.
